adjusting your coilovers

Hi mate, Just thought i'd check up on how you were doing with the car and noticed this post about the coilovers. For the record, the ones you have on your car are exactly as those presented within the picture that Greedy Matt has posted up for you. It was his car that i tried them out on before buyi...

Clutch

Hi All, Thought I'd help out with what I know about the clutch. The clutch was nearly when I sold the car on. In fact the clutch had only just been changed when I gave the car to Dan and at that point although second hand the clutch had done 700 miles in another mr2. The clutch is an RPS Streetmax c...

Looking good

Hey Buddy, Looks like you had an amazing day, I wish I'd got round to doing a day in her before I sold her but pleased someone has finally done one. Not sure why you took the carbon bonnet back off the car but in my opinion I think keeping the red one on her probably looks nicer. Perhaps you could j...

In my opinion i really like it but...... I've never been a big fan of a spoilerless 2, just my 2p though Tom ps. Get her rol...

bonnet

Personally I think the bonnet changed to carbon might look ok, The rest of the kit on the car really does work as is though and is very unique. I've not seen another one like her in the entire time I owned it. The only thing I would say is that I think the handling has improved since the main radiat...

underpants

Well..... I like to change my car more often than my underpants :D # No not really, I've had the car for 18 mths and I felt it was time for a change. Also in its current form there is absolutely no way it would be able to get into the new car park at the offices we are moving to. Would be kind of po...

any better

No problem - happy to help. I think the general consensus about the xspower intercoolers is that they are actually pretty good once they are plumbed in correctly. The problem seems to be more to do with poor fitting than them not being upto the job. That said I can't see how an air to air intercoole...

Yes mate you can keep the AC. Only problem with keeping it is finding enough space behind your bumper to accomodate 3 radiators which you will need if you want to keep it. I have one fitted and all 3 fit behind the bumper but then thats because I have a bomex nose cone which has more space behind th...

3s service center

Just wanted to say thanks to James at 3s and to recommend him to others who need a helping hand with their 2. The gearbox in my mr2 was completely wrecked and needed replacing. 3s did a fantastic job of replacing it with another one and the car now runs smoother than ever. 10 out of 10 from me :thum...

Fully-Synth

I wouldn't run a part synthetic oil in a Tubby to be honest. Go for Fully synthetic next time and yes you should definately change the filter at the same time whenever the oil is changed. Oil changs is recomended every 6k miles and should be fine for most people. If you are hammering your car around...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Is it my LSD?

I've been experiencing some jolting problems whilst the car is put under load and i pull away whilst making a turn (some lock on either right or left). After consultation on here it was suggested that i had a sticky LSD and needed some friction modifier to put in with the oil. Now I was about to do ...

update

Just an update on this, wanted to see if this sounds plausible? I was trying to see in what conditions the knocking was most obvious and it would seem that the clunking is usually worst once the car has warmed up a bit. Does that sound right? When manouvering around the car park first thing in the m...

rad

Just had my main radiator and the one for the chargecooler replaced. Garage that did it found a pair of pliers sandwiched between them  God knows how long they have been in there.

Guessing thats probably why I got a leak in my rather expensive ARC radiator :(
