Glad to hear you've sorted it. The pic is definitely the EVC V though...

Re: TOTB VII (2008) - "Team MR2"

Mitch, I'm still gutted that I had to withdraw my entry due to 'issues'. However, I still want to come up and support the team, helping out where I can. It's a fair trek for me and I was planning on camping as a competitor. Is it OK if I turn up on Saturday afternoon and camp? I got the '2 run...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] HKS EVC V installation problems

Are you sure it's the EVC V? I have this but it doesn't show throttle/revs as far as I know, only boost/vacuum. I do have the install instructions somewhere but not sure they'll be much use to you :-k EDIT: Is it this one? http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/garage/upload/garage_mod-4614-1139398740_thumb.j...

Why wouldn't you put a stroker in an NA? It'll still give you more torque surely, regardless of whether a turbo is involved or not. :-k

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Earth problem?

As toxo says, it is a low fluid light for the battery - one of the cells has a probe in it with a wire attached to the top. I had this on my old Rev1 and it was also lit up once I change the battery for a sealed unit. I think I just connected it to ground or something and the light went out. Taking ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Side Repeater Options

I can't remember the exact details but I posted about it a week or two ago. The MOT regs state something like you have to be able to see the repeater when stood 1 metre off to the side of the car (when looking from the rear obviously).

I'm sure I know that name but can't think where from - what was your old username on IMOC?

BTW, I live near Swindon and have a spare set of leads from my Rev2 if they're any good for testing...

Re: TOTB VII (2008) - "Team MR2"

I generally get one spark when I crank it and then nothing. I've checked continuity between the igniter casing and chassis and that seems fine (is there another I should check?). I had a chat with Peter at SBits yesterday and he was very helpful - the thinking now is that the Motec is not getting a ...

No mate, I didn't. Car won't even start at the moment and I'm a bit disillusioned with it again to be honest. I need to swap out the distributor next as that's about the only thing left that could be causing the issue.
