Xxxx ran without them last time - I think you are OK as long as there aren't any sharp edges and all the door pulls, window switches etc are in place. I'd bring them along just in case and check with the scrutineers though, you can always whip them off and store them
Re: TOTB VII (2008) - "Team MR2"
My car decided to share some of its oily fluids with the engine bay and the road last nite
Oh the joys of mr2 ownership

Re: TOTB VII (2008) - "Team MR2"
Mitch,
I'm still gutted that I had to withdraw my entry due to 'issues'.
However, I still want to come up and support the team, helping out where I can. It's a fair trek for me and I was planning on camping as a competitor. Is it OK if I turn up on Saturday afternoon and camp? I got the '2 running only yesterday (by changing the distributor) but I'm not sure I want to trust it with an 8 hour round trip, so will probably come in the Land-Rover or borrow my wife's Elise.

Re: TOTB VII (2008) - "Team MR2"
It's a tricky one
The organisers are pretty strict with the rules on camping, it's really limited to people taking part and immediate support but I regard you as a member of the team and if it was up to me I'd say go for it.
But I don't want you to get there and then get moved on, I very much doubt this will happen though, there are usually a lot of people staying over, it's just the main public that need to be told they can't do this.
All I would say if you decide to try your luck is that you'll have to move whatever car you come in to the public parking area early in the morning, there won't be much room for spare cars around the pit area by the sound of it.
Worst case I know a few roundabouts / gardens you could camp in
