Re: Do I need a new wiper motor?

Yeah, it's probably the battery. I'd imagine that if the voltage has dropped to below 12V the wipers will work rather tardily..

Re: Rev3 Turbo - Catalytic Converter Alternative

Guys, its quicker and easier to just contact your card provider and request a chargeback. Paypal will not even entertain the idea if its over 90 days. The bank dont care and will charge it to paypal leaving them to sort the mess. I had to do the same with a duff engine I bought. Works easier and so...

Re: Rev3 Turbo - Catalytic Converter Alternative

I've also got one of these on order. Heard no contact from xspower since ordering when they stated they were waiting for stock to come in. Their website doesnt even work anymore either so I think I'm gonna have to claim my money back through paypal ](*,) As tubby_tony said, I'm in the exactly same ...

Re: Rev3 Turbo - Catalytic Converter Alternative

I've had one of these on order for quite a few weeks now. They're out of stock but should be getting more in about a week. Not holding my breath.

The xspower customer service is something REALLY bad :(

Re: Rev3 Turbo - Catalytic Converter Alternative

Not quite the answer to your question, but rather an alternative: I'm currently facing the same problem. Instead of getting something made I've been thinking of this as a fairly easy solution (which can also be more easily removed/replaced if necessary): http://www.xspoweruk.com/product/celica/XS100...

Re: MR2 Turbo vs GT4

MR2 vs GT4 is something of an apples-to-oranges comparison anyway. The ST205 is not a bad daily driver even if you live in a rainy/snowy/whatever climate. You really really need to drive both to see what you prefer. I've found that I absolutely have to thrash the GT4 cars for them to be fun in any w...

The OEM oil filter part number for your 92 turbo is 90915-YZZJ2. Good luck.

Re: ABS

The reason someone's taken them off is most likely that they broke when they had to remove them for some reason (usually replacing wheel bearings). New ones can be quite pricey. It's not really a big deal to put new ones in, but you have to be really careful handling the sensors because they're quit...

Re: [MK2] [Turbo] Oil consumption, where is it going???

It could still be the turbo seals. Have you done a quick visual check on your exhaust? When the car is running are there oily deposits inside the exhaust? You might want to try clean it up a bit and try again. Unfortunately it might not be that easy to figure this out without taking either the turbo...

Re: Clutch Fluid Change Tips

1. Where is the nipple? ( ) the clutch bleed nipple that is. It's at the back of the transmission on the clutch slave cylinder (also known as clutch release cylinder). There's a couple of bad pictures in the BGB. Follow the shifter cables to the tranny and you're pretty close. 2. How much flu...

Re: Dumb blonde newbie with lots of questions!

Front tyres are 215/40ZR17 83Y and back are 235/40ZR17 90Y. Does that sound ok? That sounds fine. The tires have a slightly different radius but that's very common and won't cause any real issues. I think I should probably get the SSR Integrals refurbed and then they'll be able to tell if one of th...

Re: Please Help! Code 52, idle problem, knocking when start the car..

The knock sensor code will make the car run in safe mode. You'll definitely want to correct that issue. What I'd do is take out the old sensor. A blown one can sound like a broken lightbulb (something rattling inside), so if it does then you'll know its gone. Also, the knock sensor wiring is a bit r...

Re: polishing rear lights

Meguiar's scratch-x works nicely too. Also helps with the front indicators and the like.

Wetsanding them is probably the best way to actually get the lights to stay that way for a bit longer. Haven't gone that far yet, though.

Re: Dumb blonde newbie with lots of questions!

Firstly, it's in desperate need of a complete respray so where would you recommend and how much would be a reasonable price so I know I'm not being ripped off? (it's curently a faded pink colour that should actually be red!) The red paint is known to be quite rubbish. My red mk2 is also fairly pink...

Re: New to this MR2 Lark.

The Suspension braces for the rear, i only have 1, from the fire wall to the left suspension, surely i should have two? (obviously one to each suspension). As there is a threaded bracket on the firewall where one could be mounted. Some rev1s (NA's only I think) only have a single strut brace instea...
