Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rattling clutch or gearbox dying??
my clutch release bearing makes a noise but only when the clutch isn't pressed.... don't know what to suggest about that one. Surely it should only make a noise when the clutch is depressed as that's when the release bearing is in contact with the fingers on the pressure plate :-s Twin plate clutch...

Re: scary steering issue
i agree with Highway star, check your tyre pressures first, especially your rears, low pressures will cause the side walls to flex, which will give you the feeling of the back end wobbling a little, a lot of cars do it, unless you have low profile tyres.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] The Truth about seals...
probably not, i did the whole lot at once, but then i had water under the dash, which i am pretty sure came from there.
THe water on the seat is from the bits you pictured, just re silicone those bits and create a better channel for the water, i havent got any pics to show you what i did.

Have a quick look, take the a piller trim off, at the top you will see the bolt, stick a bit of tissue around it, pour plenty of water over the roof and have a look, thats what i did.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 Turbo
a ct20 can be had for about 200 - 250 for a good one, its a good upgrade from the 26, boost to the redline, slightly more power, and makes a damn awesome noise behind your head!

yeah, thats typical alternator failure.
You can test your voltage on the battery with the engine running, should be about 14v.
