common causes for non starting

I'm looking for a cheap car as a base for a race car (nippon and MR2 championship) and I come a across several non runners, apparently the cars were running fine then failing to start, as I found more than one showing the same symptoms, what’s likely reason for sudden non starting in MR2s, is there ...

I bought this car as the basis for a race car (Nippon Challenge GT200 and MR2 Championship) to replace my Subaru Cup Impreza car (now sold), I mentioned to a pal in th...

no I haven't got any pics of mine you but have a look at these pics http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=1151481&mid=13900 posted by the guy who recommended this system to me, it's the same interior as mine (except mine's got cream seats and carpets) and I just re-coloured mine...

Re: Best place to get cancer bars?

if mine are knackered I'll knock some up from some slightly thicker gauge tube of even box section, might even make a strut brace while I'm at it.

Re: [FINALIZED] Our Track Car has been reduced to £3995 ONO

looks a nice car and pretty good value for a race spec car (will nearly race spec) but a fire system and cut offs aren't expensive, although it's not eligible for the 750 motor club sanctioned MR2 championship normally aspirated only and no adjustable suspension either this is to keep costs down, it...

Re: just done the rear brakes

Agreed when I looked they were ridiculous prices but spoke to our parts people and it was only 55 quid somehow +vat but that's claimed back. I wasn't trying to be a Dick I looked into kits for ages they were about 40 quid it's always more rewarding rebuilding things butwIth everything else I am re ...

Re: Best place to get cancer bars?

How essential are these ‘cancer bars’ ? mine are a little rough looking I was thinking of just binning them, they look so weak and flimsy I can’t see they’d be doing much even when not rusty, if they really are required then surely it would make more sense to fabricate something more substantial tha...

Re: just done the rear brakes

I was going to do this until I realised a new Delphi caliper was 55 quid was it a waste of my time then ? I don't think so, sometimes knowing you've managed to do a good job yourself, restoring the original part back to full working order, rather than simply bolting on a replacement (any monkey can...

Re: new mr2 owner couple of questions

SSP arived friday at benfields wakefield £2 :D bargain, to be fair it's basically just a nut with the right thread but it certainly makes the job easy, once I'd tensioned the handbrake plunger mech and removed the circlip the whole thing pulls out at this point I can remove the handbrake lever which...
