Your probably right so heres a bit more info.

I bought this car as the basis for a race car

(Nippon Challenge GT200 and MR2 Championship) to replace my Subaru Cup Impreza car

(now sold), I mentioned to a pal in the motor trade that I was looking for a cheap MR2, I the mean time I looked a several cars all of which were either to much money or way to rotten, anyway my mate ring me and said hed found a car I may be interested in, it had been stood in a barn for 4 yrs so no tax or test but I was told it was it was solid, started and drove OK so I bought it unseen, and when I first saw it I was pleasantly surprised it was indeed a tidy little car, then realised I'd made a basic mistake.

Id bought a low powered REV 2 car when what I needed was the more powerful REV 3,(race regs don't allow any engine mods so you've got to start with the higher output car) DOH!!

, my initial thoughts were to break the car and recover its cost, but on inspecting it I found a nice genuine little car to good really to be broken, so I decided to MOT it and sell it.

So its had a full service inc full brake strip and rebuild with new rear pads, the only real issue was a sticking, uneven force handbrake

(the brake rebuild sorted that out).

Wheels are 16 BK lightweight alloys, tyres are 205 front 225 rear,

its de-catted and as a pair of GRP side skirt/sill covers, these appear to have been fitted to cover the repaired sills, Im not a big fan of bodykits but these are quite nice and seem to be reasonably well fitted and suit the car.

The car as done 129K comes with 2 keys, doc wallet with original paper work and some history.

Its finished in pale met blue and while its rust free there are some age related blemishes and a couple of

shopping trolley dings but considering its 20 yrs old its not bad at all, the interior is very clean with no rips or tears, it as the premium

(active) sound system with a Sony head unit, 10 disc changer and steering mounted remote,

(the stereo isnt fitted but comes with all the correct autolead patch leads to adapt it to the OE active system)
Everything works and all in all its a tidy little car with all the usual problems

(rotted sills and dodgy brakes) already dealt with so its ready to give yrs more driving pleasure.

Im still looking for a REV 3

(170hp) car for racing next year so Id be quite happy to PX

for a MOT fail or damaged car ideally a tin top,

no Tbars

(the cage doesnt fit!!)

Ill take some more pics tomorrow
