yeh it can be buffed off using a flap disc prior to welding! just dont use a grinding or flap disc that has been used on steel as it contaminates the area to be welded and wont get a sound weld hope that helps mate

i go an alterator and fitted it on the sat!! no noisy running and the bearings are still spot on :thumleft: wasnt the smell of rubber or oit but more an electrical smell! did have a feeling it was on its way out ](*,) third time of changing the alternator on it no ](*,) starting 2 get the hang of it...

yeh your looking for around about 10mm of defection in the belt!! or less than 90 degrees of twist if that makes sense just not super tight or you run the risk of snapping the belt or worse wrecking the bearings in the alternator

can you see what is happening when you have the window down and look through the rubber and pull the inner and outer handles??
