Door won't open HELP

Hello pls help my drivers door wont open it worked fine when i left this morning and when i got to where i was going it wouldn't open any ideas as obviously you need the door card off to get to the mechanism but then u need the door open to remove the door card catch 22 please someone help as its not much fun climbing across and getting out of the passenger door

elaborate a bit -is it locking from the key/opening from the outside handle ?whats it doing ?completely gubbed

have you had a shot at getting the door card off??

is the car locked

can you see what is happening when you have the window down and look through the rubber and pull the inner and outer handles??

are all the links moving???

The mechanism seems to be working fine thats why im so stuck.. Also i have pulled the door card out of the way
