Hi
One brake light is dim. I swapped out the bulb, which made no difference. It is a type 380 bulb, and I see that only one filament is lighting up. Any thoughts please?

bad earth perhaps

I'm still mystified by this. I tried wiring the bulb to a battery. Only one filament lights. 3 wires go to the brake light, and I can't see how I can access any of them at the bulb holder. Does the holder come apart?
Are both filaments meant to illuminate?

Sure your plugs are the right way round?
Sling the bulb in the other side light holder and get someone to press the brake pedal, common mistake if the lights have been replaced... etc..
Failing that, corroded terminal, also check the wires have not broken from the terminals on the socket to the cluster
Let us know how you get on
