Re: How to plug A/C in an MR2 without aircon

Well, to give you an idea (please do not scream :D ),
here in the LHD world we have (N/A):

Rev 2 with A/C 5000

Rev 2 without 3500

Crazy, isn'it? The diff is a good Rev 4 in UK

How to plug A/C in an MR2 without aircon

Hi there, I'm looking at my second MR2 mkII. I'm considering having the aircon but I keep on finding car without (mostly Rev2, namely). The only one with it are pricey. :| Is it feasible to retrofit an A/C? I'm trying to have an idea of the spares/effort needed (if possible) to make a comp...

Actually all the turbos are without the Certificate of Conformity, so it is a big mess anyway...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] "E" markings on Turbo Rev4+, please help

It's ok, it is the same on mine.
I thought they started to mark all around on Rev 4.
I'm happy!!! :D
It seems I can import them :D
Tubby tubby, I'm coming...

Already with double fog lights, isn't it?

The front lights have to be changed anyway in order to drive on the other side...

Thanks,
just a confirm:
are you talking of Tubby Rev 3, aren't you?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Spare key

I've found two on ebay uk,
one (for mkIII) on a site of a spare key manufacturer,
two on http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/
If it is around 20euro I'll pay for it.
I've already spent a week end to get the key code... ](*,)

Re: How to get to the door lock barrel?

Yeah, the door panel is an easy one. Then point 5 is a little bit tricky. Please take care that the plastic cap over the barrel (exactly on top of the screw in the pic) has two clip, one on each side. I've broken one and now the power lock is not commanding the passenger door. http://i969.photobucke...

Re: How to fix a dropping blind

Are you sure?
That one in my picture?
I'm asking because it plugs in the roof glass (and you are saying mirror) Just to be sure...
I saw the fiches (pictures) and they were selling the whole thing, no part number for the clip!
Whoa!
Thanks!!

Re: will a rev 1 n/a gearbox fit a rev 2 tubby engine

Speed in gears @7000 rpm seems to confirm that Tubbys are shorter (at least till the 4th)

Tubby
1 35mph
2 60
3 91
4 125

NA
1 40mph
2 67
3 98
4 122

PS:
final geaaring declared are much longer for NA (4,1 or 3,9 against 4,3) but the figure for the turbo speed dont make any sense to me.

Just a newcomer, so please do not hit me :)
I think I've read somewhere the opposite:
the tubbys have shorter gearing than the NA.
Is there a table related to this?

Re: How to get to the door lock barrel?

Step 5 was indeed a problem The lock itself is Mickey Mouse shaped  with the two in the holes ears for the two 10 nuts. On the nose there is a plastic contact fixed on two sides (now on one on mine  ). There are 3 numbers jus belowt the ears and 5 alphanumbers on the nose almost facing do...

Re: How to get to the door lock barrel?
