How to fix a dropping blind

Post by smoke »

Hi there,
the driver roof blind of my MR2 is dropping down ](*,)
I've just realized that the previous owner put some iron wire to cope with the missing small plastic "hook"

I've unmounted the plastic button and I've tried to order to Toyota.
They deal with only the full blind.

Have you got ideas, suggestions, spare "buttons"?
Thx

I'd try Araldite professional if I was really tight (the stuff in the blue pack -available from most DIY centres).

If it's missing parts or broken I'd just look in the for sale /cars being broken section etc for a new blind -not expensive.

You can get the hook that sticks out of the roof to clip the mirror into.

74348-30010-01 SW20; BLACK, TRIM2* 2 € 2.39
74348-30010-14 SW20; DARK BLUE, TRIM8* 2 € 4.93

Are you sure?
That one in my picture?
I'm asking because it plugs in the roof glass (and you are saying mirror) Just to be sure...
I saw the fiches (pictures) and they were selling the whole thing, no part number for the clip!
Whoa!
Thanks!!

That part number is the hook in the top right and bottom right of this photo:

Sorry, I need the clip for the targa roof blinds (the one "helicopter" shaped)... :)

Ah, that kind of blind ](*,) Didn't think of that as I don't have a T-bar! You're right, you can only order the blind.
