Re: Back to standard suspension

I purchased my std shocks from tcb parts. http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/ I purchased std Toyota front shocks with new top mounts, some Apex lowering springs all around and used the std toyota billies on the back. Had them fitted them in a couple of hours. Not to hard and great out on track. Did castle c...

Re: Suspension Advice Please

Yeah sorry i should point out the the top mount does not sit in the car concentrically, depending on the arrow direction (front or back) it will then move the shock forward or backwards.

Its not much but will this make a difference?

Re: Suspension Advice Please

Guys, i have now purchased some std shocks for the front and they have been installed. My question is, can you fit the top mounts the wrong way around? It can only go two ways, pointing to the front or back of the car indicated by a small arrow. Any ideas, i need to do the tracking but it feels very...

Re: Suspension Advice Please

Hey thanks for the advice, this is my dilemma. The car is a second car that is used for no more than 3k miles per year, its setup as a fast road/track car as I want to do a few track days this year, the first being Castle Combe in two weeks time. My calculations are as follows: Top mounts £140 TCBPa...

Re: Suspension Advice Please

Well after looking into the costs of replacing the suspension with new springs and dampers including the top mounts and spring plates it just as cheap to buy some BC Coilovers. I think I'm going to buy some of these http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/coilovers-series-br/ I'm am assuming that this is everyth...

Turbo Boost Issue, Help Please

Guys, I have a issue with the boost on my turbo, its set to 1.05 bar on my Blitz SBC but displays 0.9 on my gauge which i believe to be more accurate. Anyway the turbo spools nicely and you can play around with the boost all day long without a problem but when it hits maximum boost the controller ki...

Re: What do you think of my Gauges?

Thanks for the comments guys. The dash was really tricky, i was hoping to get away with not cutting anything from the dash but in the end i had to remove material from the top where it is pushed in towards the air vents. This was not enough so i removed the brace at the bottom of the cover so that t...

Re: What's the biggest risk you've taken when buying a car?

I purchased my first mr2 8 years ago from London and in the mad excitement I forgot to check loads of things, I had it all planned out but I just wanted to drive home in my new car. Big mistake, within a week the gearbox gave up and cost me a fortune. I also had to replace the clutch, when the garag...

What do you think of my Gauges?

Its been a long time in the making but I have finally finished installing my gauges. The three on the top of the double din (Volts, Oil Temp, Water Temp) are from Race Spec, cheap and cheerful but do the job. The two on the pillar are from Auto Gauge, these really are smart for the money (about £40 ...

MR2 Rev 3 Air Conditioning Condenser Radiator - Help Please

Guys, I have just recently purchased this car and I am finding out that it needs more and more work doing to it. I am in search for the condenser radiator as mine is completely shot and I don't have £350 for a new one. I have just purchased a second-hand engine rad and wanted to replace them both at...

Water Temperature Sender Adaptor Diameter, Anyone fitted this gauge?

Guys,

Im planning on fitting all of my gauges this weekend but first i need to order a water temperature sender Adaptor.

Has anyone done this recently and do you know the size of adaptor that i need.

I think it is a 40mm one but im not sure, this was a very rough measurement.

Cheers

Re: Sorry Guys, another gauge related question. Help needed

I guess its the cheapest way of doing things, and very easy to do when your servicing your car.

I need oil pressure as well hence the plate with two inputs.

Re: Sorry Guys, another gauge related question. Help needed

I have a rev3 but i would be interested to know what the other options are if the sandwich plate is going to leak. With regards to the heat soak issue i guess its more of an indication but then again it should be as accurate as possible. I did read about the 45mm gauges that could replace the std on...

Re: Boost Pressures

As for the other mods it has the following:

Blitz digital boost control,
HKS dump valve,
HKS induction kit,
ONE OFF exhaust system that sounds like no other,
HKS decat pipe,

Thats taken from the advert, the exhaust is straight through. Im not sure on it yet but it sounds really nice.
