Turbo Boost Issue, Help Please

Guys,

I have a issue with the boost on my turbo, its set to 1.05 bar on my Blitz SBC but displays 0.9 on my gauge which i believe to be more accurate.

Anyway the turbo spools nicely and you can play around with the boost all day long without a problem but when it hits maximum boost the controller kicks in and over boosts and i believe cuts the fuel.

Its never done this before, its always boosted without any issues.

Im no mechanic and to be honest i would not know where to start to fix the issue.

Any ideas guys.

mods, what revision of car, is the VSV connected, any split boost pipes? Need more info on your car and what did you last change before you noticed this issue?

Its a 1995 Rev 3 and i have done nothing to it for ages, all of the pipes look fine but first thing tomorrow i will give them all a good check over.

On my gauge it showing a good Vacuum so everything looks ok. Really odd.

I had thought it might have been the cold weather on saturday as it had been around 0 all day but today its been playing up as well and its alot warmer.

Im really in to looking after the turbo and engine, i fully warm it up and get the oil up to temp before i even think about using it hard and i always let the turbo cool down before turning the engine off.

It must be something simple im sure

what does the car boost to if you turn off the EBC? Should be around 10psi, well it does on my own rev3.

Driving off boost is better than sitting idling in your driveway heat soaking the engine
