Sorry Guys, another gauge related question. Help needed

Guys, I really need your advice.

I'm looking to purchase some gauges (oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, boost and volts) and I found these on fleebay. What do you think

To be honest I don't want to spend a fortune but on the other hand I don't want to buy any rubbish.

If yours is a rev1/2 then I've heard that the sandwich plate is a bit of a no no due to it being right above the exhaust and getting a bit of heatsoak aka false readings,they do seem to leak sometimes too.

Also note that they do 45mm series gauges,ideal for a good boost gauge in the stock intruments

I have a rev3 but i would be interested to know what the other options are if the sandwich plate is going to leak. With regards to the heat soak issue i guess its more of an indication but then again it should be as accurate as possible.

I did read about the 45mm gauges that could replace the std one on the dash but i think that im going to put the oil pressure and boost gauge on the pillar with the other 3 on the top of the stereo, that's if they will fit. The double din seems to be too small for a stereo and 3 x 52mm gauges, i might have to do some customisation to get them to fit.

Don't think heat soak is a problem with a rev3 as the filter location is slightly different.

I'm sure somebody else can give you more info, I too would be interested on a better way to get oil temps although I'm not keen on sump plugs with temp sensors in,seems a bit exposed to me.

I guess its the cheapest way of doing things, and very easy to do when your servicing your car.

I need oil pressure as well hence the plate with two inputs.

ive got a rev 3 and have no problems with that type of sandwich plate i also have 3x52 mm guages in my dash you just have to trim a little plastic off for the guages to fit
