Boost Pressures

Post by furiouslee1 »

Sorry guys, I have not posted on here for some time but I have just purchased the Red GTS that was forsale on the forum last Sunday and I need some advice.

What is the std pressure for the turbo to boost at, mine is set to 0.9 bar, is this correct?

I thought it should be 0.6 bar but then reading through the site I believe this is for the rev 2, mine is a rev 3.

It has a Blitz sequential boost controller which I have no idea on how to use but I was going to try and set up another option and lower the boost for reliability.

I have not owned a turbo before so I'm still learning as I go.

Regards
Lee

0.9 bar = 13psi which is bang on the money for a rev3 turbo.

Does the car have any other mods other that the boost controller? Seems a bit strange that somebody would install an EBC then set it to stock boost unless the previous owner turned it down before selling it.

Congrats on your new purchase and enjoy :thumleft: As this is your first turbo take it easy until you get used to it

Great, thanks very much.

I used to own a G-Limited back in the day but driving the turbo version is like driving a completely different car.

The last owner said that i could be pushing around 280bhp but im yet to prove it

Mine needs some work cosmetically but the engine has just been rebuilt.
Next on the shopping list are some new gauges, I cant wait

Thanks again

As for the other mods it has the following:

Blitz digital boost control,
HKS dump valve,
HKS induction kit,
ONE OFF exhaust system that sounds like no other,
HKS decat pipe,

Thats taken from the advert, the exhaust is straight through. Im not sure on it yet but it sounds really nice.
