Re: Handbrake help needed

thats a very helpful thread, thanks paul. i found it the other day and made my handbrake work properly for the first time in about three years. theres a fair bit of 'banter' to read through but very useful information that i doubt a lot of people would have known!

cheers

Re: geometry

i used dino's geometry. i like it. i couldnt get quite as much camber as dino suggested but was close - i havent got camber bolts. so may be worth chucking them in first? My car is a polybushed rev1 with whiteline anti roll bars. made it feel very direct, but at high speeds it does make the front en...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Sills.... a sticky???

ive got the templates for those, the ones he posted anyway (i dont think it was a complete set...) i printed them off, cut them out of steel and then fabricted my sills from scratch. its really quite easy once you get started, i can post some pics of how we did it, but might not have many on the act...

[Mk2] [Generic] Enkei Center Caps

Hi Folks, I recently refurbed a 16" set of staggered Enkei RP01's. all has gone well with the wheels despite my inability to paint. The problem is the center caps. They are a plastic disc with the tabs to locate and fix to the wheel with an aluminium insert disc. The aluminium disc is fine, but...

Re: new mr2 again! anyway few questions re. water pipes/shifter

i think the pipe modification is from when the hard water pipes that go round the fuel tank corrode and leak. you can either drop the tank or reroute new pipes (not oem) around the tank without dropping it (loads easier - search 'pipes from hell'). there should be something there to bleed the heater...

Possibly not to everyones tastes.

So before i start i should say, these wheels weren't perfect before i started, so i haven't wrecked a perfectly good set of wheels! Anyway, they were black, but the paint had chipped loads showing colours underneath and bare metal. i've just finished welding the sills now ready for paint so i though...

Re: Escaped hamster?

its a rev1, and i only saw one drain hole at the bottom. but this seemed to be very close to an undertray? it certainly didnt look look like enough room for anything to get in, not enough for a fingering even with my slender digits! i know they can come through small holes but im sure the one in the...

Re: 18" Tyre Size help

might look like tractor tyres. id leave it as it is unless its bothering you or you cant get tyres in that size (or its a lot cheaper to get another size). remember the 35 or 40 is related to the tyre width (the 255). so the tyre wall on the front and rear is roughly the same as it is now. if you ch...

yep, newer one (rev2+) is thicker. i think rev1 is 25mm thick and the later ones 30mm. the diameter is greater on the later ones too.

Re: help with aerial

theres 3 wires that need connecting for the aerial to work i think. one is defo the blue one. i think the other two are live and ignition live. i think there is a pdf posted in this post (http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=138559&highlight=aerial) that explains a lot. there may be a st...
