[Mk2] [Generic] Enkei Center Caps

Post by tommullin »

Hi Folks,

I recently refurbed a 16" set of staggered Enkei RP01's. all has gone well with the wheels despite my inability to paint. The problem is the center caps. They are a plastic disc with the tabs to locate and fix to the wheel with an aluminium insert disc. The aluminium disc is fine, but the plastic bits have got all of the tabs snapped off. (i can get some photos if it would help)

I have tried buying some generic ebay jobbies but they are so different i dont think its worth modifying them. i could glue what i have left of the originals in, but im worried about taking the paint off when they come to be balanced in the future.

My question is, does anyone know of anywhere where you can get replacements? i know that for example MX5's had enkei (RP01's?) in a 15 or 16" as standard on some models, so if i could get some from a set of them that would be ideal. Or any other thoughts on what i can do? i think they are 59 or 60mm.

Cheers,

Tom

(MODS: if this is in the wrong place, sorry. feel free to move it)

you'd be able to find replacements on auctions.yahoo.co.jp and www.rinkya.com would bid and buy them on your behalf.

Cheers for the quick responses!

@simpson_eh - good idea. ive pm'd him. thankyou

@Marf - if thats genuine thats an extremely generous offer. as i said ive pm'd cardhore, it sounds like the easiest option, but if cardhore cant help then would it be ok to give you a shout on here please? i had a quick look and you can get them relatively cheaply on there but it looks a bit confusing...

Cheers,

Tom

I'm not offering to do it for you, just giving you a way to buy them from Japan yourself :thumleft:

www.rinkya.com is a company in Japan who will buy on your behalf then ship the goods to you.

No worries, hope your eye is ok.

Yeah I use Google Chrome browser, it automatically translates the pages.

If you go onto the website and drill into the automotive section, you'll soon find a whole section for wheels, and under that a section just for centre caps.
