geometry

Post by micevo »

well i suppose this has been asked 100s of times, i want the car set up for mainly track days, at the moment i have 235/35/17 on rear and 215/40/17 front.
i have searched and found a few different setting, im thinking of going with the settings which Dino has suggested on here but its quite an old thread, are these much different from factory? has anyone got first hand experience?
Question questions i know but thats how you find out!!

i used dino's geometry. i like it. i couldnt get quite as much camber as dino suggested but was close - i havent got camber bolts. so may be worth chucking them in first?

My car is a polybushed rev1 with whiteline anti roll bars. made it feel very direct, but at high speeds it does make the front end a bit darty and you need to keep hold of the steering wheel (i think thats due to the lack of toe at the front). vastly improved turn in and if i get another alignment done then ill be using the same geometry again. i would defo recommed!

Cheers,

Tom

Another recommendation for the Dino set up from this rev 1 owner.
Basically Dinos figures are closer to a rev1 set up than the later cars but as has been said consider getting some camber bolts to allow more adjustment and also consider a swap to some rev1 bits if you want to adjust castor as well. If you've lowered the car go to somewhere who knows what they're doing to adjust accordingly. Wheels In Motion in Chesham are thoroughly recommended by many... including me.
