I had this exact problem, turned out to be the igniter pack was badly earthed on the bracket the ignition coil is also on. Just replaced the whole bracket and igniter and coil with a cheap (£10) scrapyard set and has been spot on since!

Will rev 3 cams fit straight in rev 1 head? Im rebuilding my head (reseating valves, a slight skim, and check valve clearance) to refresh my rev 1 , researched a bit and read that the rev 3 n/a cams are more aggressive. If you use a turbo pressure plate it won't fit the input shaft on the gearbox. Turbo and na shafts are different diameters.
