[Mk2] [NA] Bloody Sills
HI, I repaired the rear end of my sills on both sides of my Rev3. As i was sanding the front of the sill CRUNCH I went straight through, The sill has rotted at the front and when I looked inside the inner sill has rotted too. #-o Should I remove the sill and start again or spray the inner sills with...

Re: Bodyshop people....
Hi, Im tackling the sills aswell, my advice would be to get to halfords buy some metal grinding discs and grind the rot off. Mine has rotted thanks to a massive leak in the boot on both sides. I also had to grind the top of the rear arches too. I then went to the scrapyard and got sheet metal from o...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Hello! Major sill works insight.
The rest of the car is good, you would have noticed the rust unless you look under at the sills and the arches. The welding is nearly finished and im going to underseal the whole lot plus Hammerite the rest to try and prevent the rust reappearing. I have thought about scraping and getting one thats ...

Ive still to paint the car and Im thinking to Plasti Dip the car that stealth matt grey look. Will post the before and after pics when the car is done and on the road. If y...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Hello! Major sill works insight.
Hi, I have a Rev3 that I found rotting away in an abandoned carpark. I hunted down the owner and bought it. When I got it home I saw both sills were gone and rust had rotted the rear arches and the boot was filled with water. :pale: I ripped out the boot carpet and lining etc and the extent of the r...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Rev3 Difficulty selecting 3rd gear
Hi, Cheers for the reply. Its a project car which Im building back up as I found the car rotting in an abandoned carpark. I have never had the car up to speed to select the gear. But 1st, 2nd, 4th and reverse are all fine. 3rd i have to slam it in and 5th is abit dodgy too. I will certainly give the...

[Mk2] [NA] Rev3 Difficulty selecting 3rd gear
Hi,

When the engine is running I am unable to go straight to 3rd from 2nd.
I have to go to 4th then 3rd.
But when the engine is off I can select 3rd no problem.

Any thoughts or Solutions would be great.

Cheers

Ahhh Right cool!

I will see if I can get a set of conical nuts and see if that makes a difference.

Cheers Shinny

[Mk2] [NA] 15" TSW alloys wheels not fitting!
Hi All,

I bought a set of TSW alloys of gumtree
which I was told fitted a MR2 REV3.
I havent got a clue when it comes to alloys but when I tried to fit the wheel the 5 threads were not long enough for the oem bolts hold onto.

Any suggestions will be a great help.
Thanks

[Mk2] [NA] Buzz from plasma dials
Hi,

I fitted a set of plasma dials to the car and there is a annoying buzz from the inverter which is connected to the dials.
I wrapped the inverter in a jiffy bag and tape which has reduced the buzz greatly.

Could the jiffy bag heat up and catch fire tho??

Im not sure.

Cheers

Yeah I think im gonna get someone who can weld and see if they think its salvagable.

If not do you think I would get much to break the car or just put it in the scrapyard?

cheers

Re: Is it dead?
Cheers for the replies I'm going to take pics of the rust and see what you guys think. I really want to get the car on the road and it is a project. But I don't want to do all this work for the MOT guy to say it can't be fixed. I ran up the temp on the engine and then I heard a hiss noise. My son st...

[Mk2] [Generic] Rev 3 Turbo Injectors in a Rev3 N/A 3SGE Engine
HI,

Would Rev 3 Turbo Injectors in a Rev3 N/A 3SGE Engine make any difference?

Would I get more BHP or would it knacker the engine?
