[Mk2] [Generic] Rev 3 Turbo Injectors in a Rev3 N/A 3SGE Engine

Post by Marty95 »

HI,

Would Rev 3 Turbo Injectors in a Rev3 N/A 3SGE Engine make any difference?

Would I get more BHP or would it knacker the engine? :-k

Cheers

I would imagine that the N/A injectors are lower flow than the turbo equivelant so for a given "opening" signal from the ECU your engine (N/A) would overfuel like a bu88er. Unless you have a stand alone ECU then you'll be worse off, in lots of ways.

Forget it. If it were that easy, every N/A in the country would be running Turbo ECU and injectors producing mahoosive horsepower.

Furthermore, Turbo injectors are sidefeed and N/A injectors are top feed, and never the twain shall meet.

Turbo ECU and injectors will work perfectly if you install the rest of the engine assembly. :D

It'd over fuel badly, run very rough (if at all), cause bore wash and subsequently knacker your engine.

Think 'AIR/FUEL MIXTURE', there is no point adding more fuel if there isn't also more air entering the engine.

Toyota ECU's tend to run on the rich side, so you'd actually make a little more power trimming some fuel from the mixture.
