Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 overbooting
Its a piece of metal with a hole in the middle that fits between the decat pipe and the exhaust system. If the exhaust pipe work is 3" and you buy a 2.5" restrictor ring, the exhaust will then operator like a 2.5" exhaust system (less flow), so so less boost. Its a way of masking an i...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 overbooting
Fuel cut is diffent for Rev1
& 2 Vs Rev 3.

Think Rev 1
& 2 is around 13psi, but Rev 3 is around 17psi
(stock).

Think Rev 1

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] rev 2 overbooting
I just had a similar issue fixed. Had a XS-Power decat pipe with a mongoose exhaust and Apexi filter on a Rev2 Tubby. was hitting 1.2 - 1.3 bar. With mine I've had the decat replaced for xxxx one. When Tim removed the XS-Power one, you could see where the wastegate was hitting the pipe when trying t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] ct20b and decat fitted to a MK2 Rev2
Right, I've fitted and FCD today, reset the ecu and it's peaked at 1.09 bar. With no safety mode! :D Also fitted and Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor, which seems to be working fine. Just pulled onto the drive and appear to have a wet patch on the ground under the transmission area, not sure if its oil or no...

[Mk2] [Turbo] ct20b and decat fitted to a MK2 Rev2
Just had a CT20b fitted to my rev 2 with a decat pipe. The garage didn't know what to do with my cat senor, so wired it directly to my aftermarket Exhaust Gas Temp sensor! strangely enough this doesn't do much. So 2 questions: 1. What should I do with the Cat Temp Sensor to get the light to go out? ...

If you buy a new set of dials from Toyota and can prove the old mileage, then they can setup the new dials to match
(so I'm led to believe).

Apart from the expensive HKS and Blitz delimeters, who makes these?

the twosrus website doesn't seem to have them anymore.

I'm not using a boost controller, just a boost gauge.

Running Standard currently.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Wastegate Cleaning/Lubrication on a CT26
When driver, sometimes I get boost very slowly.

Spoke to turbotechnics and I think that my problem may be a sticking wastegate.

Does anyone know the best way to do this?

Also are the CT26 maintenance kits any good on ebay, and does anyone have a guide?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Actuator problem?
You may be able to help me here!

I find that my Turbo starts off boosting fine, then sometimes it ends up taking ages for the boost to build.

So if the actuator is sticking, does that mean I'd need to get a replacement or can it be fixed?

I've bought one, but still haven't got around to fitting it.

So I'd be interested, to know if it will be worth fitting?
