[Mk2] [Turbo] CT26 Turbo Rebuild

Post by solmansoft »

Has anyone stripped down a CT26 turbo and performed a rebuild?

I've managed to get hold of a second CT26 and need help rebuilding it, as £500 is a bit much for an exchange!

unless you have a balancing machine you cant do it yourself unfortunately
the shaft needs to be balanced very precisely or the blades will just hit the housing and disintegrate

You can rebuild it yourself, then just send it off to be balanced.

universal turbos quited me about 50 for a balance.

Thanks for the input, I'll get a quote from Universal Turbos.

Anybody know any other companies that provide these services?
