[Mk2] [Turbo] Wastegate Cleaning/Lubrication on a CT26

Post by solmansoft »

When driver, sometimes I get boost very slowly.

Spoke to turbotechnics and I think that my problem may be a sticking wastegate.

Does anyone know the best way to do this?

Also are the CT26 maintenance kits any good on ebay, and does anyone have a guide?

what boost controller (if any) are you using?

I found that my ball and spring/grainger valve got gunked up. I switched back to a normal bleed valve and it was alot better.

I'm not using a boost controller, just a boost gauge.

Running Standard currently.

Could try blasting some aerosol brake cleaner through it. Might clean it out. Other than that I'm not really sure. Not familiar with the internals of the actuator. Sorry
