So what I have is; A Red T Bar N/A, complete in need of full restoration A White T Bar Supercharged, engine sp...

Re: My "stock" Mk1
aaaah so the boxes are effectivly 3 part jobs, just like they used to be made! & as you say wonderful intercompatiblity - but you have to say if a design works, why change it or the tooling. Very cool. I assume the Celica is the mk7 T230 version as thats the only version I can think of that has ...

Re: My "stock" Mk1
Paul, I have the toyota front if you'd like a copy. Also 6 speed? Let me get my head round this, you gutted a factory 5sp mk1 box, & dropped in a celica's 6sp internals? & it fits without modification? Theres space for the 6sp cog? what about the ratios compared to the mr2s factory? Then dro...

Engine / Trans Jack
Just reading this thread: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids/1240791-2001-porsche-996-ls1-conversion.html of a nutter dropping a LS1 V8 into the back of a Porsche 996, & theres mention of a Engine & Gearbox jack cradle, that looks like a great idea - especially for us, basicly...

Paul,
could you not mount the corsa part either upside down, or back to front to put the motor on the other side of the column? Is there not better room for it on the other side?

Re: Spitroast
Thanks for the reply, thats good news. I was worried being a tbar the centre bar wouldn't take the stress. Now I've had some more thought on the matter & taking into consideration what you say about the thing naturally wanting to end up sunny side up when past vertical. I will now most likely re...
