Girlfriends Comment!

Post by Chunky Monkey »

Hi guys

Ok so I was show my Girlfriend round my MR2 at the weekend. She said I thought it was a cabriolet, I said well its a T-Bar, look, & took one of the panels out.
She looked it at, back at me & back at the car & in perfectly serious voice said, & I quote, so its just aglorified sunroof! :pale:

So.......reasonable grounds for dumpage?

Hair

Does your girlfriend have long hair?

Let her drive the car with the glass out and once her barnett is blowing in the wind and she's getting admiring looks from other drivers, she'll understand.

Given how patient she was when collecting the car, I'd say she deserves a second chance! ;)

No you have to give her a second chance. They have to learn about MR2's ...it doesn't come naturally.

Recent conversation in our house...

Wife "Why do we have to get another MR2 ...when we've already got one"?

Me "Lots of people have two. And this is a different model". :D

Some months later.

Me "Think I'll sell one of the MR2's".

Wife " You don't have to"! ](*,)

Hate to say this but, your girlfriends is right. It is just a glorified sunroof as it certainly ain't a convertible (yes i own a t-bar)

You're wrong. Sunroofs don't normally leak :clown:
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

LOL, that is true  But convertibles have NO roof at all when down. Where as the T-Bar only removes around 50% of the roof . So on that your going to have to admit she is right ......... it aint no convertible:lol:

Tell the girlfriend that this is one reason that the T-bar is a better car than any convertible.

She'll probably dump him after that, once she realises how badly it messes up her hair.

Or she'll end up doing what I did and never, ever take the t-bars out.

wait till its warm? pah! ive had the roof(s) off plenty of a number of time so far this year, much to my girlfriends dislike.. so actually yeah wait till its warm. haha

i generally go with the rule if it ain't raining or going too, the roofs coming off.

I used to let my wife drive the SC to work until she let slip after a couple of glasses of cabernet that she was getting regular wolf-whistles and even some guy giving her his 'phine number at a set of lights. Turned out she was taking the roof panels off and letting her long hair loose in the wind.

She is no longer insured to drive the car.

Careful now. You wouldn't want to wake up with a horse's head shaped lump of Semtex in bed next to you now, would you?
