Re: VIDEOS! MR2 Rev1 G-Limited T-Bar Standard 70K miles £1300 OFFERS CONSIDERED!
Hi, the car does look very tidy but in my opinion its still a little too expensive, especially with no history to back up the mileage.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Urgent alternator question....
Thanks for that!
Garage doesn't want to strip the alternators so I'm gonna go get them and swap the ends myself then take them back for them to fit it back on the car!

[Mk2] [NA] Urgent alternator question....
Hi guys, I've bought an alternator with the round plug but the garage fitting it has called to says the car has the opposite type fitted. I've asked them to try fit it by cutting the plug off my loom and fitting spade connectors but I need to know what each wire does and what position it goes in on ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Will an alternator from a tubby fit an n/a?
So if I get a turbo alternator I'd need a turbo bracket also?
Or can I swap the bracket from mine onto the turbo one?

[Mk2] [NA] Will an alternator from a tubby fit an n/a?
Probably been asked a million times but I can't find an answer with the search button.

The one I'm looking at is from the same revision as mine.

Nothing much has changed with the MR2 recently but gave it a good polish yesterday which means I had to take some new pictorals... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2476/3553403791_70e25a7ae4.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2440/3553403795_b140c65e9c.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2424/35534037...

Re: Battery not charging...
Its got me baffled! Went out to it at the weekend and had to jump start the car, the odd thing is, it started charging again! Had the car running for a good 15 mins, lights on and using a current tester to make sure it was holding charge, which it was. Eventually took the car a short drive and it wa...

Battery not charging...
Before I go down the route of changing the alternator, (battery is fine) I'm just wondering if there are any other common reasons for the battery not charging? No battery light on when the car is running though it was flickering on and off at one point along with the light with the picture of a fan ...

Re: My MR2 turbo
A set of lowering springs is a good way to stop it feeling so loose at speed, made a huge difference to mine.

Check your shocks though, sounds like you might have one or two dead ones.

Nice car by the way, you're wheels are almost the same as mine.

Looks like a great job but I have to agree about the black bits, I would have colour coded them too.

Each to their own though, Its you're car.

Re: Rev2 Project (New pics)
Getting a little rub on full lock but thats down to the tyre profile at the front as it was rubbing before I lowered it.

I plan to drop to a 45 profile tyre from the current 50 profile so that should fix that.

Re: Rev2 Project (New pics)
Dropped by
-40mm on a set of 2nd hand springs of unknown origin and standard shocks.

My front top mounts have seen better days so they'll need done at some point but they're not the worst I've ever seen.
