[Mk2] [NA] Urgent alternator question....

Hi guys, I've bought an alternator with the round plug but the garage fitting it has called to says the car has the opposite type fitted.

I've asked them to try fit it by cutting the plug off my loom and fitting spade connectors but I need to know what each wire does and what position it goes in on the round plugged alternator.

Quick reply would appreciated folks.

Can swap the connectors over as above.

Garage doesn't want to strip the alternators so I'm gonna go get them and swap the ends myself then take them back for them to fit it back on the car!

Just to update, been over and swapped the ends of the two alternators and the car is back up and running with a full 14+V
