Me versus Ashley Cole
Not that much to it really, apart from it being a footy player. Pulled up to the barriers on the m6 toll road in my M3. Always look in the next lanes to see if there a nice car to accelerate against. This time, to my left was Ashley Cole pushing his card in the machine and Cheryl in the passenger se...

Re: idling issues - sign of uprated cams?
could also be caused by old/blocked air filter, blocked fuel filter, dodgy coolant temperature sensor, vacuum leak in the intake system or worn distributer cap and im sure their not the only ones. If you are still having problems and you've checked all the hoses, i'd also try replacing the distribut...

Re: mr2 turbo v 406 coupe
Yeah, you should have beaten him
(just).
I have a rev1 tubby and a 210bhp V6 version of the peugeot coupe.
the peugeot is great for cruising on the motorway, but the tubby nails it for acceleration.

Re: momo problem
sounds like you have the wrong momo hub.
contact Dan at Dcdezign
(affiliates) and he should be able to source the one you are after.
The correct one has a cutout that fits over the horn connector.

Re: car wont start
You could try putting the car in gear and then rocking car a bit
(difficult).
Might loosen up the starter motor by moving the wheels/flywheel.

Also, have you checked all of your earths are still connected?

The black wire with red stripes in the engine fuse box.
These are switched and so the pump will automatically start up with the ingnition key.

Re: Which piggyback for AFM Rev 1
I'm thinking your stage5 may be able to boost to higher than 16psi?
If so, your AFM will be the bottleneck in the system.
Only the Apexi or e-manage ultimate
(which is the route i have gone) will remove this and input pressure to the air/fuel map using an additional sensor.
If so, your AFM will be the bottleneck in the system.

Re: T piece needed to add oil pressure sender
If i remember rightly the thread in the block is 1/8 BSPT and i used a 1/8bsp to 1/8npt adapter for the block. Thant way i could use a 12" length of hose with 1/8npt fittings on each end. Halfords dont do this. The original pressure switch, new oil pressure sender for the gauge and braided hose...

Re: T piece needed to add oil pressure sender
I got mine at thinkauto.com No need to drain oil as the gallery should only be full when the engine is running. One thing to watch out for: screwing a bulky sender/t-piece directly into the same hole used by the original oil pressure switch can be a bad idea. I have heard of the head cracking or eve...

[Mk2 Turbo] Sounds like it may be something simple, but dont
I was driving home tonight and the car was running nicely. I have the external wg set to limit boost at about 8psi right now and i was happily hitting the mark. I approached a roundabout close to home, hear a small pop followed by what sounded like air escaping. bu88er, the car died on me in the mid...

Re: No Boost Just Slight Vacume
You mean the turbine wheel snapped off
(or likely disintegrated) and was passed through the exhaust?
!!!!!

I can honsestly say i have not heard of that before
(or imagine how it would happen).
