I was driving home tonight and the car was running nicely.

I have the external wg set to limit boost at about 8psi right now and i was happily hitting the mark.

I approached a roundabout close to home, hear a small pop followed by what sounded like air escaping.

bu88er, the car died on me in the middle of the roundabout.

I managed to restart it in 1st gear and with a bit of revs crept the 200yards home with a couple of more stalls.

Now, after resetting ecu

(by unhooking the battery) when i turn the key, the engine cranks and fires but will not run.

I was thinking it may be a vacuum hose of some sort that had popped off, but i cant find one.

I suppose this would explain the crap/no idle and also hissing noise of escaping air.

.buts its not an obvious hose as i've checked.

Here's the strange thing.

This may be unrelated

(however, i doubt it) but after the initial cut-out on the roundabout i appeared to intermittently lose all brakes

(and the pedal went really hard).

In fact i had to stop the sod on my drive using the handbrake! Just as well i was doing about 5mph in 1st!

I'm running a t3/t4 turbo with external wg and a custom chargecooler.

I will be trying to get to the bottom of this tomorrow.

Does anyone have any ideas of where i might start?

Thanks in advance.

Graham.
