Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 to Rev3 Head Conversion *NOW MAPPED*
I sure did was a very enjoyable week. Not going this year but will be back next year. I ended up selling my MR2 to some guy from Holland. It sounds like you have had your hands full with your project... My new car is in bits across the garage floor lol. I think they spend more time in bits than they...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev2 to Rev3 Head Conversion *NOW MAPPED*
Hi Paul,

Hope you are well.

you finally got the Nur spec on you car then.
.
.

The breather you spoke about on the cam cover.
I ended up running a pipe between that and my aftermarket catch tank seemed to work ok.
I blocked up the inlet manifold end.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] charge cooler
The ambients were 20-25 deg c. Was I happy ? In a nutshell yes. The engine didn't blow up... I managed 20 laps and drove home to the UK thats 280 hard track miles without the autobahn blatting. I couldn't get anywhere near 70deg on the road more like 40-50 deg under extended full boost at about 18 p...

Chargecooler temps
When I had a GT4 Chargecooler fitted I was getting Circa 70 deg c inlet temp
@ throttle body.
This was after 1 and 3/4 laps of the Ring.
I had a glance at the guage at the end of the long back uphill straight after the halfway point.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] fuelling
Very nice, thats a cool idea though.
I guess you are running aftermarket ecu
? If so could you run a 5th injector
? It maybe the easiesy way of providing extra fuel if you cannot find any larger injectors to fit your stock manifold.

Just an idea.

Good luck.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] fuelling
I don't know how similar they are but upgrading to turbo injectors, rail and frp, fuel pump maybe a start if you can asses if it may fit
? Maybe the whole inlet manifold may fit
? Interesting concept though.
.
What supercharger are you using out of curiosity
?

Re: [Mk3] [Turbo] Radiator fans staying on
Check the pressure sensor for the aircon is plugged in.
This is near the regassing point in the frunk.
If diconnected the rad fans will come on full tilt.

pipes
I wish this write up was around when i did my conversion.
The CC pipes I just warmed with my blow torch a little and stuck a 3/8th breaker bar in and twisted it round until it was at the right angle to clear the filler neck.
Just takes a bit of trial and error.

hanger
I put the hanger on to support the chargecooler more.
I suppose you would get less strain on the throttle sock.
I thought it may offer additional support when i went on the track.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Intake temps - any one with charge intake temp gauge
Cool, interesting stuff. After a lap and a half of the ring I was seeing ~ 70 deg C. This was running 1.15 bar. The ambient it was in the 25-30 deg c range. If you open the top of your chargecooler (st205) how fast does the coolant run through ? I tested the st205 cc pump it really did shift some wa...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Apexi GT spec exhaust - How loud ?
I am currently running a KO racing R1 exhaust. Good exhaust and very light and very free flowing. Unfortunately it's a bit too loud for some of the track days without a bung, which really hurts boost response. It registered 104db at half rpm. It is quieter than my old Blitz Nur spec.... but not quie...

intercooler type might be handy also.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rad Fans coming on when car starts up, how to stop this?
nothing to do with the aircon pressure sensor being unplugged in the frunk
? If you unplug that the rad fans will stay on all the time.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Rad fans switch
If I unplug the aircon pressure sensor in the front boot the rad fans come on full chat.
Anyone got a wiring diagram for this circuit
? I want to wire in a switch to break this circuit and allow switched radiator fans.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev 3 Boost Cut - Where should it cut out at ?
This was just out of curiosity. I also run a boost guage which shows no more than 18 psi. The guage on the boost controller display appears to read above this. I just ignored the boost controller display and have been using my guage for setting the gain and ratio. I just wondered if the fuel cut was...
