[Mk2] [Turbo] Apexi GT spec exhaust - How loud ?

I am currently running a KO racing R1 exhaust. Good exhaust and very light and very free flowing. Unfortunately it's a bit too loud for some of the track days without a bung, which really hurts boost response. It registered 104db at half rpm. It is quieter than my old Blitz Nur spec.... but not quiet enough. I am currently weighing up my options what to replace it with options are KO Racing TKO 3" with the largest silencers they do, Mongoose, Apexi GT depending on noise level......

Any advice ?

I have an Apexi N1 which is pretty much identical to the GT and that's pretty loud.

why dont you just get a bung then?
or do you mean you have one but car isnt as quick with it in?

I know what you mean about the bung- had to use one on my RSR.

You could try a decibel insert from Jetex, but will only take a couple of db off.

In the end I went with a Jasma approved exhaust, and all is very quiet (A Tanabe Hyper Medallion).

Strangely, it actually hits slightly higher boost with it on- not a lot- 0.94bar compared to 0.93 with the RSR.

i have a mongoose, very well made, nice "in your chest" deep note up to 2.5k then quite social above that, good exhaust.

Pretty quiet to be honest.. that's what I have now. Looks nice though.
