There was no factory alarm/immobiliser fitted to the mk1. Anything you have got will be aftermarket or at best dealer fit so no-one here can tell you where it is or how to disable it. Problem sorted found a immob. right up underneath dash, took it out car now starts ok at last,,, Cheers LENCEE

Thank you for advice , i have found a the problem there was an aftermarket immobiliser on the car which i have managed to remove , car now starts ok Cheers Lencee

The Fusable Link is in the main +tive battery lead. If it blows, then you'll have nothing electrical anywhere on the car. no power

non starter 85 mk1 dead when ign. is turned on , no dash lights come on , battery ok lights work horn wipers blower all fine , anyone got anything else i could try :?:

I simply pulled the alarm relay and bridged the connections in the relay plugs with some heavy duty wire. Finding the alarm/immob's the fun bit. It's a temporary thing as I'll be replacing the alarm but it had to be done so I could test the electrics. which is the alarm relay location i have the ha...

If you have lost the keys then getting in is the least of your problems.It takes all of 20 seconds to get into a locked mk1 but i'm not about to share it on an internet forum. i managed to get into my car , took off door lock and had a new key made which opens door fine but wont start the car nothi...

[battery is fine getting power to lights horn radio wipers but nothing when
you turn key in ign. no warning lights on he instrument panel just the volt meter that does register

locked out

still have problem got the car open , got door lock out had a key made and it fits ok , now i can:t get it to operate the ignition nothing lighting up on the instrument panel anyone got any idea , it has got me baffled the car was fine before i lost the keys ///////????????
