Frank,

Eagle f1's are stunning road tyres but do tend to get a bit warm on track like Toni pointed out.

Lauren,

I don't doubt your tyre recommendations but where on earth do you buy them from? Finding a set of advans online is harder than getting a milkshake onto an airplane at the moment.

why do you find this amusing ? - i might polish my car but over the last year 95% of what I've done to my car has been in the pursuit of better handling.

1. 'High & Tight' Poly Bushes
2. ARC 24mm Adjustable ARBs
3. Cusco Pilloball Tension Rods
4. KW Variant3 S/Steel Coilovers
5. Tein Pilloball Front Topmounts
6. TRD Front Strut Brace
7. TRD Rear Strut Brace
8. TRD Rear Topmounts
9. Tanabe Sustec Underbrace - coming soon
Car now Sold  damn 5th Lumber Disc !

Frank, will be good to get you along to a few trackdays :)

Erm - I may be stating the obvious - but are you looking to get a second set of alloys for trackdays? I'd certianly recommend that, and then keep a 'pristine' set of rims and tyres with (eg F1s) on for the road.

For trackdays, I used to use whatever was the cheapest tyre I could find for all foru corners of the car. I did end up with some 'interesting' mixes - eg F1s on the front, Hankooks on the rear - but playing about with tyre pressures in most case got you close to balanced handling.

You plotting on doing any skidpan training before trackdays ?

it's something i would like to do yes, but not a lot of places seem to do it anymore - i know Essex police stopped their sessions.

just the driver.

well we all have to start somewhere.

Oh and Ben - yes i have a set of staggered alloys for winter use that would probably go on for trackdays. 7 and 8J 17's tho .. mind you means i can get tyres easier (in sizes) than these current 8 & 9J :eye:

Why are you looking for tyres of the bigger rims then?

Use the smaller ones for the track. Good set - great road tyres, F1's S03's etc .

Track set (smaller ones) anything you like. Cut slicks to no names
