Was a good days racing in the end

- on the full circuit.

What can I say about Sarah Wherrys car

- I was right about Jedi bearding skills

- her mechanic chopped the front of the car off

(as far back as the rear edge of the wheel well) and welded the front off a mk1a on in it's place, absolutley amazing job.

I think he chopped it using his light sabre, but he claims it was a plasma cutter.

Watched the first Roadsports from around the Gooseneck, couple of spinners on the entry, and a couple into Park.

George broke his cambelt, and DNFed the first race

- it also knackered the engine for the second race.

Patrick seemed to have an interesting first race, and Mr Port managed to get tagged by the TVR as it was coming up to lap him.

Second race was a bit more interesting.

I was watching from up on charlies

(you can see all the way across to the other side of Park, gooseneck, mansfield etc).

There was a really good 4 way tussel between the leading mk1s, Patrick and Lee McNamara in a porsche.

Eventually it was settled going into Park as the Porsche moved out to outbrake the leading mk1, and Patrick moved out to overtake the 2nd mk1.

The porsche managed to squeeze through, but

(and this did look a bit like amateur night) the second

(white) mk1 pushed Patrick all the way to the right, ending up with him on the outside of Park, on the grass.

The white mk1 eventually overtook the blue/red/duck taped up mk1 into Mansfield.

In case anybody cares, the Noble easily won both races, and in the second race, there must have been 4 non-mr2 runners

(Noble, TVR, Avanti

& Ginetta).

.

Hope Tom and Jo enjoyed their day out at the races, and thanks to both of them for the Chinese food
