Re: Very quick washer jet question
I've tried the toyota yaris washer jets for the last 2 days and im not all that impressed so i will order the volvo s40 jets tomorrow and do a back to back test.

Re: Very quick washer jet question

100 times better than the standard ones

Re: Very quick washer jet question
I just ordered a set of the S60 ones.

My reasoning behind this over the S40 ones is that they have the same elbows on them at the bottom of them as the MR2 jets.
This means that the rubber tubing wont be unduly stretched/prone to cracking or splitting like I imagine it will be with the S40 ones

The bottom hard plastic connectors of the S40 jets are completly straight.
Im guessing more OEM water flow will mean better pressure.

Still
- I might be wrong

Re: Very quick washer jet question
I went for the s40 jets but I had some flexible hose from my last cars washer system so used that to just extend the lines to fit the straight fittings.
You get a full spread across the screen rather than two little squirts

Re: Very quick washer jet question
The S60 uses the same arc spray jets with different connectors I thought

I guess I will be able to find out soon enough

Re: Very quick washer jet question
Yeah I'm sure they are, you won't be disappointed if they are anything like the s40 ones, just give the bonnet a good clean when you remove your old jets before refitting the new one

Re: Very quick washer jet question
Front end has only recently been respray so hopefully there aren't any marks under the existing jets.
.
.
Fingers crossed

To be honest I'm not sure the s60 jets are worth the extra
£5 up to the s40 ones just for a bit if bend in the pipe work.
I just didn't want to fiddle around with the pipes too much.
Lazy or what!

I look forward to getting my car back so I can stick these on when they are delivered

Re: Very quick washer jet question
Well I've joined the Volvo S60 washer jet club.
Got them from here:
click

They're definitely more effective than the stock jets.
They'd be perfect if the aim was just slightly higher and I think they need a bit more water pressure
- maybe my old pump is a bit tired.

Re: Very quick washer jet question
Did you cut off the small amount of rubber hosing that comes with it?

Good link.
I got mine from eBay and they worked out a lot more expensive.

Im looking forward to fitting mine

Re: Very quick washer jet question
Yes I cut the Volvo hose off, then the stock hoses fit on perfectly.

Volvo V40 D3
Spotted a new Volvo V40 D3 (2013) today and guess what it had three washer jets on the bonnet.
Already bought new MR2 washer jets whats best to seal them as two little pools below them on the plastic trim.

Re: Very quick washer jet question
Is anyone aware of a place to buy new washer pumps? Brand new from Toyota they are ridiculously expensive.
The flow on my passenger side jet is quite poor and I think it's due to the pump being tired, jet definitely isn't blocked.
