With Charge coolers, how important is the size/efficiency of the pre-rad? Is it more down to the core design/location?

I only ask because I see fairly high intake temps with my Radtec and am considering

(when I rebuild the engine) swapping the poxy little Cinq rad for a bigger, high efficiency alloy thing and removing the air con rad for better flow.

Will that help or is the problem the location of the CC core?

I also thought that one of the plus points of the ST185/205 CC's was the shorter

'airway' between the turbo and the TB creates a more responsive engine.

How does this theory translate when talking BMIC? Surely a BMIC
increases
the length of the airway between the turbo and the TB, does this reduce the responsiveness of the engine?

Apologies if this was covered in some other thread somewhere, but if it was, I missed it

- despite being a member since the old board days.
