[Mk2] [NA] Anti roll bush brackets

Been trying to get some brackets for my front anti roll. I had some poly bushes fitted with new brackets but they sit too near to the car and I have lost the old brackets. I ordered some new brackets from toyota part number: 48824-12040 but the are still not big enough (see pic) Does anyone know the...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Is £1600 for a respray a good price

As others say it depends how good a job you want. My dad just took his 300sl 1980's model to get quotes for a respray at 3 places. One came out at 10k  but they do an amazing job as you can imagine for that price the cheapest was around 3k. You should see if you can have a look at other jobs ...

Re: t-bar weatherstrips fitting help!

Thanx! I have sorted the leaks at the front but have a gap between the window glass and the rear pillar now. I think my window is sitting at a funny angle (too high at the front, too low at the back) I have got a guide to adjusting the window but can't work out how to get it to go lower at the front...

t-bar weatherstrips fitting help!

I have replaced my t-bar weatherstrips with 2nd hand but reasonably new (4 years old) seals and there seems to be a slight gap between the window glass and the rubber columns of the seals. Is there something I have done wrong or do I need to readjust the window or doors somehow so that it sit tighte...

[Mk2] [Generic] Any good places to get remapped NW London ?

Just purchased a 2nd hand Link G3 and want to get it fitted and remapped in my v6 conversion. Anyone no anywhere good in the NW london / Hertfordshire area? I did try and go to "torque of the devil" (Uxbridge) but they have closed down.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Air Filter Induction Kits...

Don't think induction kits make much of a difference maybe a few bhp. They usually are added more for the induction sound. I used to have one of these http://www.jap-spec-performance.co.uk/store/product_info.php?cPath=120_1_4_35&products_id=59 As far as which one to go for think performance wise...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] carbon fiber t-tops

Earl had those on his old 'Red Beast', said they were creaky and loud maybe that would be a big down side. I imagine glass is a lot better sound insulator than carbon. Maybe there would be a way of adding a sound insulating padding on the inside. Wonder how hard it would be to make a set using a ca...

[Mk2] [Generic] carbon fiber t-tops

Came across these at japfest. Guess there a custom job? Might be a good thing for "carben fibre creations" to do if not too expensive to produce

I would be interested.

Re: IMOC at Japfest 2011, Saturday 14th May.

Hi all I've got a spare stand pass, as provided by Scott. Unfortunatly my car is still at the paint shop - was due to be back here and built back up by now but I've been let down with timings. Anyway, if it's any use to anyone I can post it first class tomorrow morning, or you could collect of cour...

[Mk2] [Generic] Fitting cusco rear brace

Just ordered a cusco rear brace and was wondering how easy they are to fit? Do I just undo the bolts and pop it on? Also getting my wheel alignment done tomorrow is fitting this brace at a later date gonna undo any of the alignment?

Re: Anti roll bar sizes

Mines a n/a rev3 but it does have a aerial down the windscreen! Think I'm just gonna try 18mm on the front and hope it's a good fit! Not much in 0.5 of a mm

Re: Anti roll bar sizes

right! Had a bit of progress with my search. I know I need 19mm on rear. Seems that the front ARB is the confusing one. on turbo rev 3 it seems that the front toyota bush is something like 18.4mm but the rev 3 N/A part number: 48815-17120 Front ant-roll bar bush 17.5mm So knowing this do I go for 18...

uglee wrote:Should be 19mm too

yeah you where right checked it with an adjustable spanner. though the front one seems to be 18mm. Is this normal or am I just measuring it in the wrong place (didn't really want to take the undertray off)

I want to order bushes and don't want to get the wrong sizes!

Doing a bit of a suspension overhaul. I'v had a look at the condition of the drop links on my car and they look ok. is it worth getting a new set anyway? also same question for the ball joints? also if i do get new drop links are these any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&it...

Re: anybody tried h&r springs?

yeah i'v had a look on there. Its a bit confusing actually, when you buy them over hear (uk) they seem to be 20mm lowered (which is what i'm after) but the guys in the US seem to get 1.4 inch lowered with is more like 35mm+ so guess they must be a different spring asked the guy at motorsport world t...
