You're oil light on the dash won't come on if your oil pressure drops too low.

Does the wire have to be grounded in someway?
I was also told that metal of the boot would act as a shield?

Goldy, can you tell me a bit more about this, I had my aerial smoothed over when I got the Shogun wing put on and i've been looking for a solution as I've tried the halfords aerial but the signal is crap

Could be a switch to the power for the ECU. So that you can reset the ECU by turning the switch off for two minutes or so?

My car came in from japan with this exact problem. It was a rev3 engine with a rev2 igniter (fitted fine).

On Dino (MR2 Mania)'s advice i found a late model igniter and the car has never missd a beat.

I'll eat one of my tyres if thats not the problem

Don't worry about damaging the turbo, you might melt your pistons, but don't worry about the turbo
