1992 Gltd T Bar NA - two weeks left - £500
Hi All My car is still for sale but I have now dropped the price to £500 or nearest offer. It only has one months tax left on it and if it doesn't sell before the end of September, I don't want to have to re-tax it so sadly I will have to have it crushed - surely someone wants to save all the good p...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Window gap
I had exactly the same thing happen to me when i did it. Brand new seals from Toyota and they werent deep enough so there was a gap between it and the top of the window. Checked everything to make sure i hadnt made a pigs ears of it but i hadnt. I eventually used the sealant/cling film method to sor...

[Mk2] [NA] Door Problem
i dont know if this in the right section but here goes. OK, so i got my dead electrics problem sorted out (it was the immobiliser that had died so it has now been disconnected) and it starts and runs fine but ever since, the passenger door has decided to stop opening! It unlocks with the key and fro...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrics are dead!
Thanks for all the advice guys, much appreciated. Turns out it was the immobilizer that was playing up - everything works perfectly except the passenger now doesnt open - another little challenge to sort! Cheers, Al

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Electrics are dead!
Thanks for the feedback - i will ask him to check the earthing straps and the alternator as the battery is pretty new. I havent done anything with the car for ages, at least not with electrics. I had to have a new ignition barrel fitted for the MoT - could that be a possible suspect?
Cheers
Al

[Mk2] [NA] Electrics are dead!
I cant understand it - my car was working fine on Friday and from then on, the only electrics that work are the headlights, tails lights, stop lights and stereo. i have checked all the fuses and they are fine but wipers, indicators, warning lights, heater, windows, instrument binnacle and PAS are al...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Intermittent leaky boot - any ideas?
i had exactly the same problem - after rain, the whole left hand side of my boot (near the boot light) would be soaked. I fixed it by cleaning the gutter between the boot rubber and the rear wing, put sealant all over the seams in the gutter and all around the boot hinge. Dont know if this is a 'rec...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] MR2 Turbo rev 2 speedo gauge
i know you can get aftermarket dial backs, i upgraded the ones on mine for ones with white backs and i think the pack i got came with mph and kph dial backs but couldnt swear on it. Might be worth having a word with some of the accessory guys on the site and check. They aren't that expensive and if ...

OK, cheers - will check those bits but the car is used every other day all year round. It seems as if every week that goes by, something else stops workiong. The indicators were fine yesterday but now they are being tempramental!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Speedo/Rev Counter/Power Steering connected?
Cheers for that - it is now failing at low speed and my puny little arms are struggling to park it. So they are related - has anybody got an idea what it might be and how to fix it?

Re: HELP fixing a leak!
I have the same thing but on the passenger side. When it rains, i can actually see the water coming in like a small river from underneath the plastic flare holder (on imports that is). i fitted new seals from Toyota which solved the problem of water getting in from the roof of the car - it seems to ...
