[Mk2] [NA] heated mirrors??

Post by weasilfreak »

Hi all

i have had a look through previous posts but couldnt see this questions anywhere and hoped someone could help/point me in the right direction. I have a import GLTD with the folding mirrors which i dont believe are heated. Is there any (easy) way i could alter these to be heated mirrors or i am doomed to not being able to see either side of me in the winter mornings? Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

You could get some mirror glass from a UK rev4+ (or buy new at £25 each from Toyota  ) and wire them into the heated rear window.

This might give an idea of the connections and it's a similar amount of work involved as making mirrors folding.

Or you could buy heater pads, obviously not the same size as the ones I used when doing the job on the FTO here:

Oh, and it's been done on the MR2, StuartTheFish did it on his tubby. Not sure where he tapped into the heated rear screen though.
