Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 Rev 3 Turbo GTS - Caribbean Blue

Hi dazzz, thanks for the comments. Regarding the comparison: The 350z is bigger (noticeably wider on the road - I find myself wincing through narrower gaps), heavier, not as pretty and worse on fuel. I like the sound of the V6 and the non-turbo power delivery is nice. I wouldn't say either is better...

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 Rev 3 Turbo GTS - Caribbean Blue

Hi, thanks for the offer but I don't really need a 4x4 :) I bought a 350z and was holding onto he MR2 in case I changed my mind or decided to run two cars. Cheers.

MR2 Rev 3 Turbo GTS - Caribbean Blue

For sale, my subtly modified revision 3, 1994 Toyota MR2 GTS Turbo in metallic caribbean blue with around 260bhp. This car has done 126,000 miles and has been garaged the whole time it has been in this country. It has around 6 months outstanding on the MOT. I have owned this car since the end of 200...

Re: GTR-2 Body Kits?

The MRD side skirts were nice. you should be able to get something very similar,if not the same as the rear splitters. I always felt the front lip was a bit forced, liken they felt they had to change the standard lip in some way. The ferrari-esque front bumper was nice though. I used to have an MRD ...

Re: what would cause wobbly steering?

Other option could be low tyre pressure. My fronts had dropped to about 15psi and it wasn't visible due to tyre/wheel combo. I had a lot of virbration in the steering wheel at speed. Pumped the tyres up properly and it was sorted.

You can add Rich U, Bath (blue tubby) and Ian M, Bath (yellow tubby) to the list.

Yep, we'll definitely be there. Where are we meeting up before hand and did we get a plot? If not are we going to park up in the usual place next to camp corner?

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Replacing my side indicators

Aaah, now I get it... Personally i'd just get rid of the jap repeaters and replace the others with crystal ones, they're only about £15? It's got to be the easiest option, i'm sure it'd be a bit of a pain just to fill in the holes.

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] Replacing my side indicators

You could just go to toyota and get the UK spec side strips, I believe they'd fit and they come ready sprayed (not that cheap though). I wouldn't worry about the colour match because the side strips already look a different colour to the rest of the body and if they're subtly different to the other ...

Re: Tom's sideskirts now fitted! Bodykit complete!

Looks really nice, the toms kit looks sweet and the rims are cool. I personally wouldn't be that worried about having the Toms spoiler or those fussy little splitter things that come with the toms kit - they look a bit hard to clean :D . One mod I thought looked really nice on my old black two was g...

Re: Latest body bit fitted

Like the car, I reckon it looks really nice. Finding it hard to visualise the spoiler when it's not colour coded but i'm sure it'll look gret when it's done. I haven't seen that many cars with the rookie spoiler...so it's nice to be a biot different anyway.

Cheers for organising it james, it was a good day and nice to have a little spot at combe. The pub was a good call as well - quite amusing to be there during a wedding :D

Cheers,

Rich.

Re: Toms, Border, Veilside...

I'd be a bit wary about getting them to spray it up before you've attempted to fit it. As if you do and it won't fit you'll probably have more difficulty sending it back to them and you won't get the money of the spray job back. And I would have thought it is likely to be a dodgy fit.

Re: is this THE worst freakin mod ever or what?!?!?!?

Agreed, the rest of the car isn't that bad, and normally I wouldn't make a negative comment about someones car because it's all about personal taste, but that exhaust really is horrendous.
