Throttle cable MR2 Turbo
Just thought I'd post a little advice for anybody trying to replace the throttle cable. Unfortunately not many pictures but hopefully a few pitfalls not to fall into.... as I did! My throttle cable frayed near the throttle body and only the main strand was left intact. Bought a replacement from MR2 ...

Do Nissan 200sx callipers fit? From the s13 or s14 model? Interesting stuff. I've replace 2 callipers and agree they are a nightmare. As for the wheel bearing, if you jack it up and wobble the wheel you will definitely feel any significant play. What is the handling like? When my bearing was complet...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Throttle cable
Has anybody got any idea how the throttle cable plastic sheath detaches from the accelerator peddle area? I have dismantled it from the engine bay forwards but stuck at the front end.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine knocking
Thanks buddy, it sounds more like the rattle and hoping its nothing more than a cam belt, however may just take the car off the road for a few months and take the engine out and have it rebuilt, its done 180,000 miles now so could do with a complete rebuild i guess.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Failed mot on emissions rev 3 turbo help please!
I had the same problem last year so emailed the VOSA. This is the reply I got: Passenger cars that have no exact match in the book and are first used between 1 August 1986 and 31st July 1995 would require a non cat test and would need to meet the following limits: CO<=3.5% and HC<=1200ppm. Think thi...

Video is on youtube at this address:

Unable to put the URL in yet apparently.

Also if you see the video, I have a new throttle cable on order already.

Hopefully you can help.

£360 plus.
Got the bearing for
£49 off ebay and had it fitted for
£60.
Good luck

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Engine knocking
I'll post a video.
The knock is not there at idle but it does sound more noisy than usual at idle.
It definitely starts at 1500rpm.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Engine knocking
Can anybody shed a little light for me.
My rev2 turbo is knocking at 1500rpm as though something is loose then goes off as you accelerate above 1500rpm then starts again as it decelerates.
The car sounds like a diesel engine when it idles.
Would be grateful for any suggestions.
Cheers

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] front shocks
just replaced my worn out shocks with coilovers definately recommend this, the handling is much better.
I looked at biltstein shocks, they seemed to be the best shocks.

Good luck
Mark

[Mk2] [Turbo] D2 coilovers
Hi
looking for some advice on suspension.
Does anybody recommend d2 coilovers for road use, not going to use on the track for my rev 2 turbo.
Also are they easy to fit?

Many thanks

I've got a '93 Rev 2. Its great! Petrol is expensive but every time you hit the accelerator you will love it and think its all worth it. Check the discs and callipers, and any knocking from the shocks. I've had to do all these bits on mine. I had a Mk1 back in 2001 and I don't think you will be disa...
