Re: [Mk2] [NA] possible alternator problem?

Also get it back to the place that did your clutch to fix the speedometer since they broke it :thumleft: Did you buy yourself a voltmeter and test across the terminals? Id also check the alternator belt and the plug (give it a little wiggle and check that no earth wires have been removed around tha...

[Mk2] [NA] possible alternator problem?

today when i started the mr2, it started a little slow, but just thought it was because it hadnt been driven in a while. i turned on the stereo and it played a bit, but then died. because its a home install, i thought a wire was just loose, because it kept flickering on and off. we started down the ...

[Mk2] [Generic] starter button without key?

i like the idea of a started button, but not the idea of still having to turn the key. would it be possible to get a 3 position toggle, and use that instead? one position for off, middle for accesory, top for run. then have the push button for start? if so, how would i go about doing this? i would l...

[Mk2] [Generic] matte flat or satin

lets see some flat, matte, or satin mr2's. im thinking of painting my car, and am not sure what color to paint it, so help me decided.

as a side note, its a rev 2 with the 3 piece spoiler. but, depending on color, i will take it off if it makes the car look better.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] wheels will they fit

i just threw some 225x50x16 on the front and 245x50x16 on the rear. the rear fits fine, but on the front, the actual rim rubs my struts, even with spacers. so yours most definetly will rub badly.

what kind of gear oil should i use to refill my differential? while doing a clutch change, all of the gear oil drained out while the half shafts were disconnected, and the transmissiom dropped.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] half shaft removal

i had no problem getting the driver side out, but i still cant seem to get the pasenger side out more than about 1cm.

i was going to just stick an extension through the hole in the differential, but there is a bar going through it. the thing just does not want to budge.

Re: Replacement front disks & pads

just did this last week, had the same exact problem as you. i would suggest having a table vise handy, as the pistons on the caliper bracket were rusted in, causing the pad to grab unevenly, eventually leading to warped rotors and failed MOT. just spray the pistons on the bracket itself, not the cal...

[Mk2] [NA] daunting clutch change

right now my car is up on 4 jack stands, and my friend and i are trying to figure out how to change the clutch on my 93 mk2 n/a mr2. we keep hearing/reading different things. some say you need to drop the engine, others say just the gearbox, some say remove the struts and whole subframe. if anyone h...
