Re: Overheating problem - at slow speed.
Water pump looked ok when I took it off, the impeller was complete and not warn down. It has let out a squeel once and a while though so the bearing is probably on its way out. I plan to swap the pump and then bleed and flush the system before refilling again. Hopefully that will sort it. Its strang...

Re: Overheating problem - at slow speed.
Just drove the 25 miles home and not a problem. Let it run on the spot for 5 mins and I could hear the fans cut in every so often so I know they work now ! Also felt the pipes in and out of the radiator and they are both hot so I know coolent s getting round. Possibly could be an air lock then? Shou...

Overheating problem - at slow speed.
Have an issue where the car seems to overheat when in heavy traffic. I commute 25 miles to the station and its mainly motor way. Temp gauge just sits below half all the way until I hit traffic the last 2 miles or so. Gauge rocks from half way to off the scale depending on how the traffic is flowing....

Re: Radiator Trim Cover
Exactly - my MK1 A does not have a cover but the radiator area does not look finished off like on the 1B so want to add a cover. Pic shows open area leaving the radiator on display. Would finish it off if covered up IMO. http://i526.photobucket.com/albums/cc341/TCMK1A/rad.jpg Will get a cover and do...

Radiator Trim Cover
Hi
- does any one know if on my MK1A I can add the radiator trim cover from a MK1B to tidy up that open area under the front bonnet?

Is it a straight fit or totally different?

Another fuel leak...
I have found another fuel leak after my engine swap. This time one of the main fuel lines. They seem to be 'crimped' at the joins and this is where its leaking. See the yellow dot in the pic - this is where the leak is. Can I repair this or will it just be best to replace the entire line? If replace...

Re: Where does this earth wire go?
Yep - good spot   Battery is new and it was just dropped in out the way when I took that picture. When it came to connecting it all up I turned it round and removed the protective covers etc. I found the cheapest battery was from Toyota directly - £41 + vat ... was nearly double that in ...

Re: replacement arches
Yep
- not worth the work on the front.
The wings are just bolt on and replacing would be quicker and give a better result.

£110 ish from Toyota new or look in the for sale section/ post a wanted add on here.
Or ebay as you may even get the colour your after.
