[Mk2] [Turbo] Very SLOW at building boost
Following on from this post: http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=165123 I have tried a few more things... If I accelerate up hill and keep the revs climbing, the boost builds REALLY SLOWLY up to about 0.6bar and then I run out of road!! From this, I belive that the turbo is working OK, but ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Flat battery. Now no turbo boost
Perhaps I've lost a load of blades and it's just being pushed round by the exhaust at high rpm?? is this feasible? maybe it is electrical as a result of the flat battery, but as you said I'd expect to see at least stock boost. I do have a blitz boost controller, but then again would expect to see 0....

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Flat battery. Now no turbo boost
am wondering if the hot side of the turbo compressor wheel has dropped off into the exhaust.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Flat battery. Now no turbo boost
Really odd and perhaps a sheer coincidence. Wednesday morning car working fine. Must have left side lights on all day and had a flat battery. Jumped the car Thursday night and on way home had only 0.2bar boost. Is there anything which could have become screwed up with the battery going flat and then...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Steering rack/column coupling
More digging and it seems that the 1991 Rev 1 NA and 1994 Rev 3 turbo have different lower universal joints, different intermediate no2 shafts and different main shafts!! can anyone confirm this? not going to be easy to source all these bits. All I want to do is revert to manual steering and ditch t...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Steering rack/column coupling
Hi, I have recently acquired a non power steering rack to replace the powered rack in my turbo. I believe it came from an NA. The garage have rung and said they need the 'lower coupling' to connect the steering column to the rack. Can someone please give me a part number or suggestion? will this fit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] LSD problem?
Thanks guys - will investigate more tomorrow. With LSD, should one wheel spin the opposite way to the other? Checked ALL the suspension twice. Tried with several different sets of shocks/springs and coilovers, different wheels and tyres. Car washes around badly in corners and front end does not feel...

[Mk2] [Turbo] LSD problem?
How do you know if the LSD has failed? I've got a strange handling problem, which has persisted despite having new TRD bushes, track rod ends, coilovers and different wheels/tyres Basically the back end is squirming all over the place when putting power on or off and is worse when turning the steeri...

Re: Please help - wayward handling. need sorted before trackday
Cheers Jake.
It's going to get checked over and the geo done Friday or Saturday anyway, so I guess we'll see then.
Interesting what you say, as it's under hard braking and accelerating that it's noticeable.

Please help - wayward handling. need sorted before trackday
Basically the rear of the car feels like it is 'washing out' and under acceleration, the car feels really unstable: About 4 weeks ago I was on a trackday and the car ran fine all day and then on the last session something didn't feel right. The car felt different immediately and I spent 3 laps tryin...

Re: Which trackday provider for first day??
Motor Sport Events - Run a lot of stuff around the south west / wales etc. Very cheap, strict on the rules and in the 10 or so times Ive been along with them havnt had a single issue. Newbie friendly too. Second that. I've done a few with them now. Good price, good management, open pitlane, and so ...

What's the best place for trackday tyres
Ok, I have been scouring Ebay and the web trying to find a suitable source for tyres for trackdays. I know some guys who run a garage and a couple of trackday cars and they buy used race tyres for their Westfield through Ebay etc, but I can't seem to find anyone with the right sizes for stock 15&quo...

[Mk2] [Turbo] removing HKS SSQV from fitting adapter
What's the best way to do this.
have bought an HKS SSQV dump valve with the MR2 fitting kit and I want to remove the SSQV from the fitting kit.
It seems to be attached with a heavy duty C clip.
Any advice in how to get this off?

cheers
