EVENTS - WHAT DO YOU WANT??? Feedback please...

Post by KarlBristol »

I want your ideas and feedback about club meets, and the event section of IMOC

I would love to see a regular large club meet each year and also regular local club meets. I've just been placed as an IMOC organiser so I intend to try and sort something out regarding the event situation :thumleft:

First I want your feedback and ideas:

What meets do you want, where, how often, etc....
One large annual meet up in summer and local regular meets sound like a good idea?

I can only try and do something about it if I know what you want :thumleft:

Plain track days would be awesome. I'd love to tear the '2 around a track with other people from IMOC.

How does something like the Prescott Speed Hillclimb sound?? - its owned by the Bugatti Owners CLub and I go to all available events there that I can as its just a great day out and the atmoshphere is always amazing!!

They host regular events/hill climbs that you can go to watch ot participate in if you wish.

Its a very very laid back atmosphere and not at all snobish or pretentious like I thought it would be. They have loads of great stands, some amazing cars (5 Veyrons last time I went and completly unique and rare vehicles) and a hog roast :)

Its not limited to one type of person or vehicle, and there are vehicles of all eras. Its also increadibly family friendly )and you can watch the Ferarris crash up close, lol)

We could either attend their events as a club or if there was enough interest I could set up driving days, skid days, hill climbs as a private club day :D

What do people think?

Their website doesn't give much away but here it is:

http://www.bugatti.co.uk/

Heres an extract from their website regarding their next show/meet/race:

"Special attractions include Bugatti Car Handicap, Prescott ‘B’ License Challenge, Shell Fuels Hill Climb Championship, Y Gelli Book Auctions Challenge Trophy, Prescott Gold Cup, Paul Matty Sports Cars Classic Championship and the NHCA Motor cycles. The event will support forces charity Help for Heroes, with a collection of military vehicles on display.
