Red full Autopista kitted n/a - Now White Rev 5

Post by VGB »

Well gave her a quick once over so thought I'd put the pics up now she's a bit cleaner.

A Rev 2 GT Ltd T-bar on a 95 plate. 103km on the clock. 17's to be changed for a set of 16's staggered. Dash sprayed candy white to brighten interior up a little.

Yep handling and ride comfort. i kind of like my spine as it is and with the state of the roads now it is a bit harsh when you hit a pot hole on the 17's!

I still have the standard 15's and IMHO they look awful. was thinking of 17's but now having doubts, might see what 16's are around. my mate put the Lexus wheels on his but kept killing rear wheel bearings, hear of that alot?

Well bought a machine polisher so thouht i'd give the car a once over with it. Gave har a good wash and had my daughter out with a toothbrush getting into the hard to reach parts, got to love child labour!

Happy with the results seeing as though it was a quick going over. Rear spoiler has come out very well after a bit of paint renovator and a polish. It has started to suffer with a bit of the dreaded fade to pink!

I had seen yours when I did a search on here. A lovely looking motor. I really liked the red and clear rear lights. Looked high and low for a set with no joy. Rare as hens teeth I take it!

Cheers for update, as it happens I had another search and found wolfie and sent him a pm, then there was another thread about them and wolfie is still doing them! I have ordered a set of the clear lenses and clear toblerones so a few jobs to follow and think will give my 2 a more modern look! \:D/

Cars looking good, amazing what a good clean can do, like the kit although when you do your lenses I would look at putting the god in the rear cluster so you don't have it hanging. Isit only me who like the original orange then :D ?...

cheers for comments. I need to have a look at what I need to do to relocate the fog light. I don't hate the orange lights but think the clear and red tail lights do freshen things up.

Yeah, getting rid of that fog light off the back end will improve it 100% :thumleft:

Pretty simple to do too :)

Loving the look of your car, they are so rare with autopista kits on! It looks like they've been well maintained and cared for aswell :D

I hate to say it, but your car doesn't have a full autopista bodykit, until you've fitted the autopista light centre panel:

:thumleft:

I also agree that the rear fog light needs to go :D

Fair point well made there! But maybe a little controversial but I'm not a fan of the light panel. :-s To be fair I change my mind on a regular basis about the rear spoiler too! :-$

Well after keeping the postie busy I have a spare set of tail lights and my clear rear lenses and red corners!

It's another wet day here so thought might as well set about making up my rear lights. Have them done and am dead happy with them.

Big cheers to Wolfie308 top product and clear easy to follow fitting guides. Still need to do my clear tobes and fit these but will wait for weather to clear up.

I have also received a carbon blanking pannel for betweent the rear lights but at the moment can't decide if I prefer the mesh grill between the lights.
