.really don't know what the fuss is about.

undo the filler cap half a turn

(pressure off but still attached),
attach(hang) the bleeding pipes to rad and heater points and open the valves,
start car, set heater to hot and leave it to warm up,
the liquid in the tubes will bob up and down, leech bubbles if they're in there and should settle out at the same level.

(fingers crossed it's just a gasket prob).

The gaskets that are on ebay look like they're made from toilet paper,

mine is steel like the banjo gaskets.
